Bestest Kitty in the Whole Wide World!

The story of Elvie begins with the story of Mama Kitty:

Mama Kitty was a feral alley cat when we first met. She gave birth to a litter of kittens, on top of our building!
Elvie and Random are her babies - (the other 3 kittens were fostered by a
shelter volunteer who fell in love with them and decided to keep them.)
We trapped Mama and her kittens one at a time, until we had the whole family.
We knew the babies would eventually tame down, but Mama surprised us by going from feral to snugglebug
in only 4 months. We suspect she must have been a pet long, long ago to turn into such a happy, loving sweetheart.
We lost Mama Kitty in 2001, and I will never get over it.

I am so happy we still have her wonderful children. Here is Elvie!
